Town to town
The Heart of Vilas County trail links St. Germain, Sayner, Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters in Vilas County with Mercer in Iron County.
Paved the whole way
Boulder Junction’s chamber describes more than 50 miles of paved trail, much of it through the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest.
Past Trout Lake
The Crystal Lake section runs about 11 miles between downtown Boulder Junction and the Crystal Lake Campground, passing Trout Lake on the way.
